Call for organisers: SEFI Annual Conference 2029

Dear colleagues,

Dear SEFI institutional members,

We are pleased to invite you to submit a candidature to host the 2029 SEFI Annual Conference. Our upcoming conferences will be Czech Technical University in Prague (2026), and the University of Sheffield (2027). See the highlights of SEFI 2025 in Tampere.

The SEFI Annual Conference is a unique opportunity for engineering education researchers and practitioners, students, industry representatives, and professional organisations to exchange ideas on higher engineering education, connect with peers, and build a (beyond) European network of collaboration. It is a scientific conference: all accepted papers are assigned DOIs and indexed in Scopus.

SEFI conferences typically take place during the third week of September and welcome over 500 participants from Europe and beyond. The local organiser is responsible for managing the logistics of the event, as well as overseeing the scientific review process.

A Letter of Intent, signed by the rector or president of the applying institution, should be submitted to the SEFI office (office@sefi.be) no later than 30 April 2026. For further information, please contact the SEFI HQ, which can also provide the SEFI Annual Conference Handbook.
