Application and registration for the SEFI 2026 Summer School on Engineering Education Research is now…
It is essential that the reporting of analyses and results in quantitative engineering education research manuscripts is transparent, scholarly, and useful. However, it can be challenging to navigate the jargon of quantitative literature towards identifying what really matters when reading and reporting results. In this third webinar hosted by the editorial team of the European Journal of Engineering Education (EJEE) we will explore:
- Selecting and reporting appropriate descriptive statistics for survey studies.
- Using effect sizes and confidence intervals to communicate practical significance and uncertainty effectively.
- Practical strategies to report statistical results in the language of science.
Who is this for, and what will you gain?
This webinar is designed for engineering educators and researchers with limited training in statistics or educational measurement. By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- Select and present quantitative results in a concise, scholarly, and useful manner.
- Understand the principles of replication and confidently interpret non-significant results.
Speakers:
- Matheus de Andrade, University College London
- Kristina Edström, KTH Royal Institute of Technology
- Shannon Chance, TU Dublin
