SEFI@work: Triggering ethics competency development in engineering students by integrating irritation as a didactical principle…
Teaching the Very Hard Skills – an invitational workshop dedicated to effective strategies for developing engineering students’ transversal skills (Brussels or Vienna)
The 3T PLAY project at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) is currently inviting applications for a professional development opportunity designed for higher education engineering and science teachers and pedagogical advisors.
The importance of providing students with robust support to develop their transversal skills is visible across engineering education. However, many teachers would appreciate support to integrate more learning opportunities for transversal skills in their courses. 3T PLAY is here to provide just that.
We are offering a one-day professional development opportunity:
- in Vienna on October 4th or Brussels on October 8th, 2024 (9h45-16h15)
- based on the evidence-informed, scholarly output from a multi-year translational research project
- to discover open-source activities that you can adapt for your own context
- complemented by a framework for designing experiential learning activities focusing on transversal skills
Who should attend?
- Professors, teachers and pedagogical advisors who work with science and engineering students
What does it cost?
- As part of our project dissemination, we provide coffee breaks, lunch and all workshop materials. Participants are responsible for transportation. Some funding is available for people coming from lower-income or EU expanding horizons countries; see application form for more information.
