Call for organisers: SEFI 2028

Dear colleagues, dear SEFI institutional members,

We are pleased to invite you to submit a candidature to host a future SEFI Annual Conference, including the 2028 edition and beyond. Our upcoming conferences will be held at Tampere University (2025), Czech Technical University in Prague (2026), and the University of Sheffield (2027). See the highlights of SEFI 2024 in Lausanne.

The SEFI Annual Conference is a unique opportunity for engineering education researchers and practitioners, students, industry representatives, and professional organisations to exchange ideas on higher engineering education, connect with peers, and build a (beyond) European network of collaboration. It is a scientific conference: all accepted papers are assigned DOIs and indexed in Scopus.

SEFI conferences typically take place during the third week of September and welcome over 500 participants from Europe and beyond. The local organiser is responsible for managing the logistics of the event, as well as overseeing the scientific review process.

A Letter of Intent, signed by the rector or president of the applying institution, should be submitted to the SEFI office (office@sefi.be) no later than 30 August 2025. For further information, please contact the SEFI HQ, which can also provide the SEFI Annual Conference Handbook.
