Best Paper of SEFI 2018 Annual Conference

This year the best paper award was divided in three categories. The winners were the following:

BEST CONCEPT PAPER AWARD

Marc Lapperouza: Assesing transversal skills in the framework of an interdisciplinary program

BEST RESEARCH PAPER AWARD

Oskar H. Svensson and Tom Adawi: Investigating the dynamics of authentic learning in a project-based engineering course

• important aspect of engineering education: authenticity in project-based courses
• includes both teacher and student point of view
• good references to related work as well as presentation of obtained results, which stimulates the future research

BEST STUDENT PAPER AWARD

Julie Direnga: Retention of conceptual understanding – The impact of time pedagogy and teaching activity

• thorough study over many years on how to increase retention of knowlege
• it gives hints on how to organise and apply efficient teaching methods
