As we transition into a new academic year, I find myself reflecting on an exceptionally vibrant and transformative summer for the European Society for Engineering Education. It has been a season defined by deep collaboration, strategic dialogue, and shared growth. Over the past few months, I have had the privilege of representing SEFI at three pivotal European engineering events, each highlighting a crucial pillar of our mission to advance engineering education.
The 5th Transnational Project Meeting of the A-STEP 2030 Erasmus+ project took place online on the 9th October 2020. This meeting was initially planned as a face-to-face meeting at Aalborg University in Denmark but was amended due to COVID travel restrictions. The main objective of the meeting, led by the team in Aalborg University, was to discuss the development of a new pedagogical approach which will be adapted to deal with the current pandemic situation. The next project meeting will take place in April 2021, hopefully at Aalborg University, which will allow project members to plan the Learning and Teaching activity with student groups, which will be hosted in August 2021 in TU Dublin.
