Prof. Zbyněk Škvor, a professor at the Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU), received the Leonardo da Vinci Medal, the highest distinction SEFI can bestow, for his outstanding contribution to engineering education.
The European engineering education community gathered for the 54th SEFI Annual Conference, which took place from September 7–10, 2026, at the Czech Technical University in Prague.
As Europe’s largest academic event of its kind, the conference brought together 700 participants from 43 countries under the theme: “Engineering Education for Humanity in a Challenging World.” Throughout the event, attendees explored how higher education can better prepare future engineers to tackle complex, interdisciplinary global challenges with a profound understanding of social, ethical, and sustainable contexts.
