The national conference “Artificial Intelligence: Philosophical Perspectives” took place on April 18, in Bucharest, Romania in a hybrid format. The event was hosted by the National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest, the main organiser of the event, with SEFI as a partner alongside the Institute of Philosophy and Psychology ‘Constantin Rădulescu-Motru’ of the Romanian Academy, Faculty of Letters, History, Philosophy and Theology of the West University of Timișoara, and the Faculty of Philosophy from the University of Bucharest.
A highlight of the event was the keynote address delivered by Mircea Dumitru, a prominent Romanian philosopher and member of the Romanian Academy. The event brought together specialists from different fields, including philosophy, engineering, and medicine.
The conference addressed topics such as epistemology, logic, ontology, ethics, and education, with discussions covering issues related to consciousness, identity, ethical dilemmas, and conceptual analysis, as well as perspectives on formal logic, theories of truth, and medical practice.
