SEFI@work: Triggering ethics competency development in engineering students by integrating irritation as a didactical principle…
The SIG on sustainability is launching an open call for expression of interest on activities (e.g., online events, thematic workshops, projects, etc.) which can be supported and (co)developed under the umbrella of, and in collaboration with the SIG and its members.
One of the objectives of the SEFI Special Interest Group (SIG) on Sustainability is to establish a network, where students, educators, researchers, and other stakeholders, can share, discuss, reflect, and co-create experiences and actions aiming to accelerate the integration of sustainability in engineering education.
Such an objective is not one person’s job but rather the work of a community of engaged people who envision change through action. The SIG on Sustainability is seeking collaborators who are interested in proposing and co-developing such activities and/or projects.
We are open to any ideas capable of revitalizing and strengthening this group, whose role is fundamental in creating and promoting change towards sustainability among the SEFI community.
How can you propose activities?
To express your interest and ideas, please fill in the form by clicking HERE, before April 9, 2024.
How does the SIG on Sustainability support you?
The SIG on Sustainability provides:
- Access to a broad community of researchers and teachers from Europe and outside the continent who are interested in similar topics.
- A platform for developing collaborative research (e.g., paper or position paper, empirical study, instruments), dissemination of knowledge and resources (e.g., teaching resource, series of community meetings, workshops, or online events)
- Support in facilitating dedicated meetings or events using the platforms of SEFI
- Visibility in the SEFI network
- Ownership of the activity/ project and acknowledgement of its leadership on the SEFI SIG website and in annual reports to the Board of Directors
The SIG does not provide financial support of any kind in relation to activities and projects co-developed.
What is next?
You will receive an email soon, with a plan of meetings on how we can move further and make your idea/ project real.
With kind regards,
Aida Guerra and Andre Baier
(Co-Chairs and on behalf of SIG on Sustainability)
