It is with great sadness that we were recently informed of the death of Prof. Dr. Gaston Wolf (79) former member of the SEFI Board and SEFI Vice-President, and organiser of the successful and memorable SEFI Annual Conference 1999 in Winterthur/Zürich.
Gaston was a fantastic professor, a well-known and very appreciated personality in Switzerland and in USA, an exceptionally dedicated SEFI member for decades, always demonstrating quite a special and personal sense of humour, and I must say, a great great friend of mine. All our sympathies go to his family in Switzerland and in USA, his friends all over the world, with a very special thought to his wife Ursula, who always accompanied him in his SEFI activities.
