NEWS from the UNESCO Chair in PBL in EE:

Master in Problem Based Learning in Engineering and Science will start February 1, 2011 based on a new study regulation. Deadline for application is November 1, 2010.

Former SEFI President Borri received the Humboldt Alumni Award

On June 21st, Prof. Borri received the Humboldt Alumni Award. With this Prize, he said that he wants to create a transdisciplinary network. Starting in Italy, the object is to integrate many of the countries around the Mediterranean in a transdisciplinary network involving Humboldtians, junior researchers and other academics. They will focus on themes relating to risk management for the prevention of natural hazards. More information is available onThe European Commission is currently undertaking a consultation on the 7th Framework Programme. This open consultation is part of the Interim Evaluation of FP7 which is a major exercise to examine progress and provide recommendations to help both the implementation of FP7 as well as contributing ideas for the possible next Framework Programme. The consultation has been set up to allow for contributions both from those with direct experience of the FP, as well as any groups or individuals who wish to give their views (Member of an FP7 Programme Committee, Member of an FP7 Advisory Group, National Contact Point, Evaluator of proposals (peer reviewer), Involved (now or earlier) in a project of the Framework Programme, Other (individual or organisation)).

The closing date is 27.08.2010
